Sugar seaweed is an easy to crisp seaweed variety that is easy to use in cooking. It is suitable as a sprinkle in salads and fish, in soups, in a wok or toasted with nuts and seeds as a wonderful healthy snack. Sugar seaweed goes well with fruit and sweets, for example chocolate.
It is a powerful and vital brown seaweed that thrives in the outer coastal areas where the waves are powerful and the throughput is great. Fingertang are particularly suitable for soups, including as a base for Dashi, Miso soup or broth. It can be used in cooked dishes and with beans and rice.
